New Years Resolutions???

Aaaaaaand we're back!
Welcome to 2019 everyone!
So has anyone made any big grandiose New Years Resolutions for themselves? How are you planning on sticking to them?
Personally, I'm not big on New Years Resolutions. They're rarely adhered to and tend to suggest that there's something broken that needs "fixing" or removing. I've always been more about continual incremental improvement of your current self, rather than attempting to chop off an undesirable attribute of your "defective" personality.
But the way most people make New Years Resolutions astounds me. They say "this year I'm going to STOP smoking", or "this year I'm going to STOP eating so much junk food". This wording, of "stopping" or removing some action that is perceived as a negative component of themselves, sounds pretty self-hating to me.
I think in this day and age, with outrage culture in full swing and extremely vocal "victimisation groups" constantly telling you that you should feel guilty for being born white, male, middle-class, or whatever's getting them in a tizzy this month, practising a little self-love and self-respect is essential.
When you say to yourself that you need to "STOP" doing something, then that something is potentially going to be removed from your life, and a void will be created that needs to be filled with something else. You can't stop eating junk food unless you replace it with eating more healthy and nutritious food that you enjoy more. And you can't stop smoking unless you replace it with an activity that is equally or more rewarding than the nicotine hit your brain craves.
So, if I can offer one piece of advice when setting New Years Resolutions, or in fact any kind of goals for the year, concentrate not on what you want to "STOP" doing, and instead focus on what you'd like to do "MORE" of.
With all that said, if I have any sort of New Years Resolution, it's to provide you all with more content and more value. I know it's been a while since I released a new video, but there will be more content coming out very soon. I've got heaps of stuff I'm looking forward to sharing with you all this year.
2018 was an awesome year for me. Thanks to all those who have supported my fledgling business so far.
Lets all smash 2019 together!
Cheers!
